Abstract
PURPOSE: The titled adhesive to be bonded at low temperature, having a high melt viscosity, improved adhesiveness to textile and durability, obtained by blending uniformly a specific polyester consisting of an aromatic carboxylic acid, etc. with a specified vinyl polymer in a specific ratio.
CONSTITUTION: (A) 50W97wt% saturated polyester having a melt index (MI) at 140°C 50W400g/10 minutes and a softening temperature 80W130°C, obtained by combination of (i) two or more aromatic carboxylic acid, or an aromatic dicarboxylic acid (e.g., terephthalic acid, etc.) and an aliphatic dicarboxylic acid (e.g., adipic acid, etc.), and (ii) a glycol, is blended uniformly with (B) 50W30wt% vinyl polymer (preferably polyethylene or ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer) having a MI at 190°C 0.5W20g/10min and a softening temperature 70W160°C to give the desired adhesive.
EFFECT: Rough hardening of cloth feeling caused by excess penetration of adhesive into fibrous construction, occurrence of strain, etc. will not be produced.
