Abstract
PURPOSE: Titled composition being excellent in heat resistance, chemical resistance, moldability, flame retardancy, electrical properties, rigidity and impact resistance, comprising polyphenylene sulfide having a specific composition, fully aromatic polyamide fiber and glass fiber.
CONSTITUTION: The following four components (A), (B), (C) and (D) are mixed together: (A) 25W99.8wt% of polyphenylene sulfide prepared by reacting a polyhalo aromatic compound with an alkali metal sulfide in a polar organic solvent, (B) 0.2W55wt% of fiber of fully aromatic polyamide prepared by reacting terephthaloyl chloride with p-phenylenediamine in a polar aprotic organic solvent, (C) 0W70wt% of glass fiber and optionally (D) a stabilizer such as talc or clay.
