Abstract

PURPOSE: To continuously and effectively recover an object being denitrified by a method wherein an object being treated is continuously fed by the feed mechanism to the rotating receiver in a microwave heater and during the rotational transfer of said rotating receiver the object decomposed and denitrified is recovered by the suction mechanism.
CONSTITUTION: A solution A to be treated such as uranyl nitrate or plutonium nitrate is sent from the supply source 15 to the storing container 7 via supply tank 12 and pipe 11. In the container 7, the solution receives microwave from the wave- guide pipes 3 and is heated to evaporate water and nitric acid, then is discharged through the off-gas treatment hood 16. The heated and dehydrated object A is guided through the push pump 8 onto the rotating receiver 5. The solution further receives microwave and during its rotational transfer to the suction inlet 21 of the suction mechanism 20, the solution is decomposed, denitrified and forms into powder A' such as uranium oxide. The powder is recovered by vacuum-suction from the suction inlet 21.
