Abstract
PURPOSE: To impart rustproof property and resistance to corrosion and cavitation to a valve body, by melt-sticking powder of synthetic thermoplastic resin to the valve body to form a film on the surface.
CONSTITUTION: Separately, a previously heated valve body 6 is placed in a gas where powder of synthetic thermoplastic resin such as polyethylene, nylon, etc. is floating and circulating. The floating powder is melt-sticked to the surface of valve body 6 at high temp., then the valve body 6 is cooled by a cooler thereby forming lining film 7 of synthetic resin on the valve body 6. Hence the film hereby obtained has no pinholes, in addition, the film is in no danger of being peeled, having small coefficient of friction because of its smooth surface, and exhibiting resistance to water, corrosion, and chemicals.
