Abstract

PURPOSE: To simply produce spherical matrix grains by a method wherein solution or molten liquid of matrix base material is added to aqueous dispersion of hydrophobic powder chemical and the mixture is stirred.
CONSTITUTION: Powder material which is hydrophobic or so rendered is dispersed into water, to which a matrix base material such as binder, coating material, or waxy material is added and mixed in the liquid. In doing so, the matrix is dissolved in water-incompatible solvent in advance, or the matrix is added while the dispersion is being heated. The process provides matrix of powder material, i.e., spherical matrix grains.
