Abstract
PURPOSE: To produce a verdigrisy copper plate for roof without scraping and staining hands by making one surface of a copper plate coarse, applying and drying on the coarse surface a water-soluble adhesive agent mixed by copper powder or copper alloy powder and forming transparent protection film after spraying a water- soluble coloring solution.
CONSTITUTION: A coarse surface 2 subjected to sanding work is formed on a surface of a copper plate 1. Then, on the coarse surface 2, main agent layer 3 is applied and formed. The main agent consists essentially of polyvinyl alcohol, water-soluble adhesive such as partially saponified vinyl acetate mixed with copper powder or copper alloy powder. After drying the layer 3, a water-sobuble coloring solution such as NH4Cl acting with copper to generate verdigris is sprayed onto the layer 3. The coloring solution permemeates into the layer 3 and in accordance with the density of the permeating coloring solution, a beautiful verdigris pattern is produced. On a surface of a main agent layer 3 in which verdigris is produced, a transparent protection film 5 is formed using a clear lacquer and the like.
