This RAM12 is provided with adders having areas for various data corresponding to the kind of sale data, arithmetic result, department information, and overflow and underflow states and while the kind of an adder in the overflow or underflow state and symbols are printed out, the reckoning operation is performed, so that the overflow or underflow state can be reset immediately.
