Abstract
PURPOSE: Titled granulating agent which promotes granulation of coal powder in water and facilitates removal of ashes and minerals, comprising a specified anionic surfactant.
CONSTITUTION: An anionic surfactant represented by the formula, wherein R is a C4W22 (un)saturated aliphatic group, a C4W18 substituted alkyl-containing alkyl- substituted aromatic hydrocarbon group, 1 and (n) are each 0W150, 1+n is 2W150, (m) is 2W150, 1+m+n is 5W200, (p) is 1W3 and M is a mono-to trivalent cation, is prepared by adding at least two alkylene oxides to an aliphatic alcohol or an aromatic hydroxy compound, so as to form (partial) blocks, and then sulfating the terminal OH groups. To a coal/water slurry, concentration 20W85wt%, is added 0.01W5.0wt% said anionic surfactant as a granulating agent. Then, the coal powder is granulated.
