Abstract
PURPOSE: To wash a panting booth with a small amount of water which falls as a uniform water film on a partition wall vertically arranged in the booth, by providing the partition wall with an overflow conduit divided to several parts and capable of controlling a feed amount of water at every part.
CONSTITUTION: A paint is sprayed from a spray gun 4 onto an article 3, while an excessive paint is bombarded to a partition wall 5 or floated. Water is supplied through a feed pipe 14 and each faucet 15 to each part of an overflow conduit 12. The water in each conduit part flows over a ridge 12', reaches an upper end part of the partition wall 5 adjacent to each conduit part, and falls as a water film along the surface of the partition wall 5. Thus, a paint having reached the partition wall 5 is washed away by a water stream from each part of the conduit 12. An overflow stream continuous along the whole length of the conduit can be easily prepared, because the overflow amount from the conduit 12 is controllable at each part of the conduit 12. Consequently, a water film is constantly supplied onto the whole surface of the partition wall 5, and a paint is completely washed away.
