Abstract

PURPOSE:To make it possible to supply hot water economically by a method wherein a water tank having a hot water supply port and a water supply port at the lower and the upper portions thereof, respectively, is arranged vertically and water in the water tank is heated by the convection of comparatively warm air in the room. CONSTITUTION:The water tank having the hot water supply port 3 and the water supply port 2 at the upper and the lower portions thereof, respectively, is provided vertically within the space 4 in the room. Thus, when the temperature in the space 4 is in the order of 18-25 deg.C and the temperature of the water in the tank 1 is in the order of 4-6 deg.C, a stream of air flowing downward with respect to the surface of the tank 1 generates due to the difference between the above two temperatures so that the convection of air in the direction of the arrow takes place in the space 4. Consequently, the water in the tank 1 is heated by the air stream and the resultant hot water can be supplied from the hot water supply port 3.
