Abstract
PURPOSE: To improve the coal storing efficiency and to minimize the area required for installation of a pond by supplying and hoisting slurred coal into and from a coal storage pond while a coal supplying and hoisting unit is being moved in the pond.
CONSTITUTION: Slurried coal is supplied into a plurality of ponds (a) from a slurry inlet pipe 1 via a valve 2, a fixed slurry pipe 3, a turning slurry pipe coupling 4, a slurry pipe 5, and a nozzle 6. A turning movable bridge (b) is turned to allow coal to be stored uniformly among the ponds (a). During such supplying operation, each suction pipe 8 is in a position lifted by a jig (e) and a winch (c). If supply of coal to a pond (a) is completed, the suction pipe 8 associated with the pond (a) is lowered to the height of stored coal in the pond (a) and the depth of the storage of the coal is thus adjusted to the height of the suction pipe 8. A turning motion of the turning movable bridge (b) is repeated in this manner. Thus, the coal storing efficiency is improved and the area required for installation of a pond can be minimized.
