Therefore, contacting with a photoreceptor by average pressure is achieved to obtain excellent cleaning effect. In this case, the pressing forces of the blade side end part and center part of the blade to the photoreceptor 1 are F1 and F2, and the characteristics of a holding means and a blade member itself are uniformed over the overall width of the blade.
