Abstract

PURPOSE:To make the illumination of a film original of a copying machine uniform by conducting the light generated backward from a light source lamp to the peripheral parts of an illuminating luminous flux by means of light guides. CONSTITUTION:A film original 1 is illuminated by a light source lamp 2 disposed behind the same, and the original image is projected onto a photosensitive drum by a projecting lens 3. Light guides 5, 5' are provided near the lamp 2, and the incident and exit ends of the guides 5, 5' are disposed respectively behind the lamp 2 and near the peripheral parts of the original 1. Accordingly, the irradiation light through the light guides is included into the luminous flux irradiating the peripheral parts of the film original, and the film original is irradiated uniformly.
