Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain the structure of an underground depository having a high resistance to soil pressure by forming a structure in which steps are so constructed that one-side wall of the depository is inclined toward its outside in such a way that the area of the lower side of the depository is smaller.
CONSTITUTION: Goods are brought in or taken out from the opening of the floor 7 with a cover 13 placed on a cover receiving frame 12 connected with the upper opening edge of the depository body 1. The depository body 1 has an oblong and horizontal sectional shape, and its one side wall is formed into steps inclined outwards in such a way that the area of the lower side of the depository is smaller. Thus, the walling plate of even thin thickness can sufficiently withstand the pressure of the adjoining soil. In the upper side other than the side wall 2 where steps 3 are formed, the depository room 5 is projected sideways in such a way as to make its side width smaller than the dimension between the supports, and almost upper half of the depository room 5 is projected from the ground surface.
