Abstract

PURPOSE: To increase the resistance to soil pressure of an underground depository as well as expand its housing space for goods by providing steps on the one-side wall of the depository and also forming sidewardly projecting depository rooms in at least two side walls of the remaining side walls.
CONSTITUTION: One-side wall 2 of a depository body 1 is wholly slightly inclined so as to position its upper side outwards and is also provided with inclined steps through which men can go down to the bottom of the depository body 1. In the upper side of a side wall 4 adjacent to the side wall facing the steps 3, a depository room 5 is projected wideways in such a way as to make its side width smaller than the dimension between supports 8, and almost upper half of the depository room 5 is projected from the ground surface G. Thus, the structure having a high resistance to soil pressure can be obtained and the depository body into which one can go with standing attitude for bringing in or taking out goods can be obtained. The housing space of the depository room can also be expanded.
