Abstract

PURPOSE: To construct a strong underground depository having a high resistance to soil pressure without the use of a large number of reinforcing ribs by a method in which steps are formed on the one-side wall of the underground depository and a depository room projecting outwards and sidewards is formed in the remaining side wall.
CONSTITUTION: A cover receiving frame 12 forming an opening is connected with the upper opening edge of the depository body 1, and goods are brought in or taken out of the depository body 1 through the opening of the floor 7. The depository body 1 has an oblong and horizontal sectional form, and its one-side wall 2 is so inclined that the upper side of the depository room is positioned outwards and also is provided with gently inclined steps 4. The height of the depository body 1 is almost the same as that of a man. In the upper side of the side wall 3 facing the steps 4, the depository room 6 is projected sideways in such a way as to make its side width smaller the dimension between the supports 8, and almost upper half of the depository room 6 is projected from the ground surface.
