Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain an Mo substrate having favorable surface roughness without deteriorating the material strength by mixing an Mo material with a specified amount of an oxide material selected from a group of specified oxide materials each having predetermined average particle size.
CONSTITUTION: An Mo material is mixed with 1W10wt% at least one kind of oxide material selected from a group consisting of Al2O3, CaO, MgO, TiO2, SiO2, ThO2 and ZrO each having 4W100μm average particle size. The mixture is sintered to form an Mo substrate having surface roughness corresponding to the mixing ratio and the average particle size of the oxide material. The Mo substrate is used in the calcination of ceramics to enhance the product yield as well as to prevent seizing.
