Abstract
PURPOSE: To considerably reduce the setting time of mulled sand in molding of a water soluble paste mold by preheating the mulled sand contg. water soluble paste, filling the same into a product cavity part by using compressed air, and drying the mulled sand to allow the same to set.
CONSTITUTION: The product cavity part of a core box 5 or the like is clamped by means of a blow head 6 and a molding board 3. If compressed air of ordinary temp. is blowed into the blow head 6 under prescribed pressure, the mulled sand contg. water soluble paste of 2W4% water contents and having been preheated to 30W80°C is filled precisely into a cavtiy part 4, and the water contents of a certain extent are removed, whereby the setting of the mulled sand is accelerated. The head 6 is then removed, the box 5 is clamped by a supply head 7 and the board 3, and hot wind is supplied at 80W150°C through the supply hole 11 of the head 7 into the cavity prt 4 under 2W4kg/cm2 pressures. This hot wind flows through the inside of the mulled sand and is exhausted through the small hole of the board 3. Thereby, the water contents in the mulled sand are thoroughly evaporated and removed, and the mulled sand is set efficiently.
