Abstract
PURPOSE: To enable to separate and collect a solute or a fine particle in an aqueous suspension more rapidly by providing a precipitation promoting apparatus having a horizontal and vertical partition plate, a specific guide plate and a static water plate made of a net or the like between opposed side plates of an axial direction to a lower part in a horizontally rotating drum in a non- rotary condition.
CONSTITUTION: Raw water is supplied into a rotary drum 1 from a hose H and introducing pipe 15 and, after impinged to a guide plate 23, fallen into a passage 24 and, while the force of water is further weakened by a quieting body 26, downwardly flowed to a drum bottom part. Therefore, a water level in the drum is held in a relatively quiet condition and a precipitated solid component between spiral blades 6 is not swirled up. Subsequently, said raw water is flowed into a space between a guide plate 22 and a horizontal partition plate 18 from a notch 22a and, thereafter, a part thereof is floated onto the plate 18 and the remainder thereof is passed through a notch 18a of an adjacent plate to be flowed to a water discharge pore 4. During this raising, a solid component in the raw water is precipitated. On the other hand, the raw water above the plate 18 is flooded over each plates 18 in a process directed to the pore 4 along a vertical partition plate 25 and, wherever said raw water is flooded, a solid component is precipitated. Between the plates 18, a stream directed along an axial line X is inhibited to be held sratically and a solid component is effectively precipitated.
