Abstract
PURPOSE:To make it possible to conduct gap discharge control at an order of 10mu S, by using a reverse voltage blocking diode which detects 3-point gap for switching of a circuit breaker and reversal of a charging capacitor voltage, and a non-linear resistance element. CONSTITUTION:When capacitors C1 and C2 are charged by a voltage source 12 and, after an electrode of a specimen circuit breaker CBt is opened, a gap G1 is triggered by an arc-extending command at immediately before the first zero current point of a current I1, a current I2 which is determined by a series circuit of the capacitor C1, a reactor L1 and a reactor L2 starts passing. And then, a gap G2 is triggered at the time when voltage polarity of the capacitor C1 has reversed almost completely. By enabling the circuit constant switching 3-point gap in an arc-extending pulse generating circuit B to be positively controlled by using a reverse voltage blocking diode SD in such a manner, it is possible to obtain an initial pulse circuit wave.
