Abstract
PURPOSE: To control the maximum oil injection amount for prevntion of black smoke production by providing a member for controlling the maximum value of fuel oil injection amount of a fuel injection pump and an actuator mechanism operated in response to an air fuel ratio sensor provided in an exhaust system of an engine.
CONSTITUTION: A spill ring 33 in a fuel injection pump 11 is shifted left to place early a spill port 34 in communication with a pump chamber 17 and reduce fuel injection amount. A control circuit 60 receives signals from an air fuel ratio sensor 63 provided in an exhaust pipe 7 to controllably energize a solenoid 59. If the air fuel ratio exceeds the limit of black smoke production in high load, the solenoid 59 is not energized. Thus, a spindle 53 prejects right so that depressing amount of an accelerator pedal 53 is limited to reduce oil injection amount and suppress the production of the black smoke.
