Abstract
PURPOSE:To realize high-speed processing, by unifying a program (PRG) that works at the side of a service processor (SVP) and a PRG that works at a host side, storing them into a host side memory and then transferring them to an SVP side memory for processing. CONSTITUTION:A parent PRG3 that works at an SVP sid is unified with a bringup PRG2 that works at a host side, and these PRGs ate stored into a host side memory in the form of a bring-up PRG5 with parent. The PRG2 that works at the host side in the PRG5 is executed at the host side. When the PRG3 is executed, the part of the PRG3 is trans ferred to an SVP side memory to be turned into a parent PRG3'. At the SVP side, the test conditions are set based on the PRG3', and then the end of the parent PRG is reported to the host side via a maintenance control program MCP. Thus various types of diagnoses are carried out at the host side. When these diagnoses are over, the end is reported to the maintenance control program MCP.
