Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent a recording paper from being wrinkled and to evade jam and skew, by providing a tensile-force applying means, which applies the recording paper with tensile force in its running direction and that to the right angles to the running direction simultaneously, in front of a developing device. CONSTITUTION:Carrying means 21 and 22 composed of couples of carriage belts 23 and 24, and 25 and 26 symmetric across a center line in the running direction of the recording paper 1 having a formed electrostatic latent image and having a slight angle to the running direction are provided before the recording paper is fed into a developing device 8, and consequently tensile force in the running direction and that perpendicular to the running direction are applied to carry the recording paper in the tensed state to the developing device 8.
