Abstract

PURPOSE: To prepare a laminated sheet free from curling and good in stability by a method wherein an ultra-high molecular polyethylene (UHPE) sheet is arranged to both surfaces of a thermoplastic sheet and those sheets are processed under a specific condition.
CONSTITUTION: A UHPE sheet is stacked to both surfaces of a sheet made of a theroplastic (e.g.; high density polyethylene) and the stacked sheets are pressurized at a temp. of a m.p. of said UHPE until a total thickness comes to about 60W90% against an original thickness to be integrated. Subsequently, an end part of the sheet is pref. fixed and said integrated sheet is heated to a m.p. or more of the thermoplastic resin and the UHPE under a pressure free condition to be subject to heat fusion and, thereafter, rolled under pressure at a temp. of a m.p. of the thermoplastic resin and the UHPE to obtain the laminated sheet. Further, a thickness ratio of the UHPE sheet and the thermoplastic sheet is pref. about 1:2:5.
