Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain an inexpensive digital thermometer having simple constitution with high reliability, by forming an opening corresponding to the angle of rotation to a disk rotating in accordance with the change of temperature via a temperature- sensitive member and providing a position detector and a digital display device. CONSTITUTION:A transmission arm 2 which is fixed at the tip of a metallic spiral 1 turns by the change of temperature, and accordingly a disk 3 fixed to the arm 2 turns centering on a center shaft 4. The light of a lamp 6A is detected by a photodetector 15a through binary code holes 13 arrayed around the disk 3. The output of this detection is fed to a display device 12 with driver through a latching circuit 11. As a result, an inexpensive digital thermometer can be obtained with simple constitution and high reliability.
