Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain an optical fiber core uniformly coated with a resin, by increasing the pressure of the resin in the pressurizing land of the positioning nozzle by the dragging action of the running optical fiber flament.
CONSTITUTION: The resin is introduced from the injection device through the resin path 28 and hol 29, and then the space formed by the inner suface of the holding cylinder 24, the outer surface of the nipple 23 and the inner surface of the forming die 22, into the space between the forming nozzle 21 and the positioning nozzle 25.
