Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent leaving behind of originals surely at a low cost by providing an original detector, a copy sheet detector and a simple warning generating circuit. CONSTITUTION:An original detector 10, incorporated with a light emitting device and a photodetector, receives reflected light and detects the presence or absence of any original. Similar one is used for a copy sheet detector 11 as well. The signals from these are inputted to a warning generating circuit. If with this constitution a copying operation signal OP is the high level upon ending of copying, a sheet detecting signal CD is the high level as a copy sheet 7 is removed, and an original detecting signal OD for the left original is the high level, the AND conditions of an AND circuit 14 hold, and a warning signal AL is emitted. WHen the original is removed, the OD signals goes low, and the warning ceases. Thereby, the leaving behind of the original is surely prevented.
