Abstract

PURPOSE: To coat the inside surface of a heat-transmitting pipe with high efficiency, by feeding a nozzle into the heat-transmitting pipe arranged in a condenser, moving the nozzle from one end to the other end of the pipe while spraying a paint onto the inside surface.
CONSTITUTION: A feed pipe 22 is taken out from a coiler 30 by the rotation of pinch rolls 51, and fed into a cooling pipe 4 through its open end at the side of a cooling water chamber 6 until a nozzle 21 reaches the other open end at the side of another cooling water chamber 7. When the nozzle 21 reaches the open end at the side of the cooling water chamber 7, the spray of a paint from the nozzle 21 is started. When the paint spray is started, the pinch rolls 51 are rotated backwards, so that the feed pipe 22 is pulled back toward the cooling water chamber 6 and that the nozzle 21 is moved at a predetermined speed. Owing to this movement, the inside surface of the cooling pipe 4 is gradually coated. This coating operation is successively repeated so that a plurality of cooling pipes 4 in the condenser can be coated with high efficiency.
