Abstract
PURPOSE:To prevent any overflashing and underflashing of an electron gun by holding the maximum value of emission currents developed during the flashing, and displaying the maximum value by reading the value. CONSTITUTION:A flashing voltage 2 is applied to an electric-field discharging electron gun 1, thereby making a flashing current If to flow. At this point, thermions are developed on the surface of a tip 5, thereby making an emission current Ie to flow. The current Ie is changed into a voltage signal by means of a current detecting circuit 8, and the voltage signal generated is converted into a frequency signal by means of a voltage-frequency converter 9. Thus generated frequency signal is transmitted to a frequency-voltage converter 11, which is located in back of the converter 9, by means of a photosignal transmitter 10, and the voltage signal sent from the converter is held by a hold circuit 12. After that, the voltage held by the circuit 12 is displayed on a display part 7 after being amplified with an amplifier 13. Consequently, the strength of the flashing can be read quentitatively, and any overflashing and underflashing, which may be caused by conventionally used perceptive judgement, can be prevented.
