Abstract

PURPOSE: To upgrade the reliability of the captioned unit which separates semiconductor units transferred through a guide groove and supplies the semiconductors units on a unit by unit basis by installing a drive system performing box operation between stopper pins provided on the sides of a shoot.
CONSTITUTION: A first pin 2 and a second pin 3 are installed on the side wall of a guide groove 1a of a shoot 1. In the middle is provided a feed claw drive system 5 having a sharp edged feed claw 6 so that IC4s may be compulsorily transferred. When the IC4s are continuously supplied through the guide groove 1a, the movement of the IC4s and the succeeding IC4b is halted by the first pin 2 and the second pin 3 respectively. At the same time, the feed claw drive system 5 is operated in the arrow A direction, thereby inserting the claw 6a into the lead 4e of the IC4a. When the claw 6a is inserted, the pin 2 is immediately released and the claw 6a is moved in the direction of B, thereby starting the feed of the suspended IC4a. The drive system 5 operates the claw 6a in a box-like manner.
