Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent the increase in the refrigerating load of a superconductive device by reducing the sectional area of a current conductor at low temperature side, and disposing it in liquid while energizing and in gas during non-energizing, thereby reducing the heat invasion during non-energizing. CONSTITUTION:A current conductor 16 for energizing from an ambient part to superconductive coil 1 is formed of the first conductor 17 at the ambient temperature side terminal 12 and the second conductor 18 at the superconductor coil 1 side. The sectional area of the second conductor 18 is smaller than that of the conductor 17. A tube 9 for containing the conductor 16 is reduced in thickness at the part of the conductor 18, and is connected to a liquid helium reservoir 2. A valve 15 is opened to introduced liquid helium 3 into the tube 9 during energizing, and gas in the tube 9 is drained from a drain tube 13 to allow the conductor 18 in the manner to be approximately dipped in the liquid. The valves 14, 15 are closed during non-energizing. At this time the helium in the tube 9 is evaporated to lower the liquid surface.
