Each component direction information (digital signal) is added to the cumulative value up to that point and output to the declination correction section 12. The declination correction unit 12 performs correction based on, for example, the declination of the earth's magnetic field, and has a declination correction value store that stores declination correction values corresponding to map graves determined for each earth moth. The declination correction value corresponding to the area where the vehicle is currently traveling is read out from step 14.
#Perform declination correction based on the declination correction value. In this way, the X component meter thin part 10 and the Y component calculation part 11 correspond to the sample clock from the pulse e counter 9.
The travel trajectory tR information outputted from the device and subjected to declination correction by the declination correction unit 12 is sequentially stored in the travel trajectory memory 15.

That is, as described above, the comparison processing section 23 performs a comparison process between the current position information in the second display memory 1 and the coordinate information of the planned course point 35 stored in the planned course memory 21. When the distance from the planned course point 35 reaches within the range of the comparison threshold value R preset in the comparison processing section 23, the speaker 25 outputs, for example, "Point 35" via the voice synthesis section 24 as described above. The driver is notified by audible sound, "You are approaching." Furthermore, when the vehicle progresses and approaches the scheduled course point 36 or 37, a similar notification is given. Note that as one aspect of the course guidance of the present invention, points that serve as landmarks, such as road intersections, are set as planned course points.

となる。We have explained the mode of notifying that the planned course point has been approached.2 For example, the above planned course points are set at intervals corresponding to the driving trajectory plot along the planned driving course, and the actual driving path is different from the planned course. It is also possible to issue a voice notification if the user deviates from a predetermined distance. In this way, since the course guidance is performed by voice, it can contribute to safety coordination compared to the conventional course guidance by sight. In addition, since it is no longer necessary to display the driving trajectory 7 on the screen, one screen can be suppressed, or it is possible to display on-screen information such as the speed meter, tachometer, fuel meter, etc. is also possible.

Driving safety can be improved. Furthermore, since it is not necessary to display the driving trajectory on the screen, it is possible to suppress one screen, and it is also possible for Maho to display instrument panel information such as the speedometer, tachometer, and fuel meter. Furthermore, since the map display can be automatically updated, the user is freed from the complicated work of exchanging maps and aligning the current position at the time of exchanging maps. Once again in history. Thanks to its relatively small size, it can also be installed on the instrument panel without any reinforcement.
