Description

【考案の詳細な説明】 本案は発光ダイオード装置に関する。
第１図はこの種従来装置を示し、１，２はｌ対のノード
線、３は該リード線１，２間に挟着された発光ダイオー
ドペレット、４はリード線１，２の１部と共にペレット
３を被覆する透明樹脂である。
尚発光ダイオードペレット３は例えば燐化ガリウムから
なり、内部にＰＮ接合面５を、又該面と平行な両型面に
金などのオーミック電極膜６，７を夫々有し、オーミッ
ク電極膜６，７とリード線１．２とはインジウムなどの
半田金属にて固着されている。
斯る構造によれば、リード線１，２間に発光ダイオード
ペレット３を挟着した後、これを溶融状態の樹脂にディ
ップするなどするだけで装置が完成され、その組立が非
常に簡単であるのみならず、装置の大きさを極めて小さ
くすることができるのであるが、リード線１，２は樹脂
４のみにより保持されているから、リード線１，２に外
力、特に両リード線１，２を引き離す方向の外力が加わ
った場合に装置が容易に破壊され、又透明樹脂４のディ
ップ等による被着時に樹脂が均一に付着せず被着外形に
ばらつきを生じ好ましくない。
本案は斯る点に鑑みてなされたもので、第２図の実施例
に示す如く、リード線１，２の１部と共にペレット３を
両端開口せる透明筒体８内に挿入し、該筒体内に透明樹
脂４を充填したことを特徴とするものである。
透明筒体８は例えば長いガラスパイプなどを所定長さに
切断することにより得られる。
向性の部分は第１図と同様である。従って本案装置によ
れば、側部外周が透明筒体８により補強された形となり
、リード線１，２に外力、特に両リード線を引離す方向
の外力が加わっても透明筒体８が破壊しない限り、リー
ド線１，２がオーミック電極膜６，７より剥離したり、
あるいは透明樹脂４に亀裂が入ったりするなどの破壊が
生し難く、又透明樹脂４が透明筒体８内に入っているの
で少なくとも側部外周の外形が一定となり外観的に好ま
しく、更には斯る効果をもたらす透明筒体８は両端開口
しているので、筒体自身に方向性がなく従って作業性に
も秀れており、又透明筒体８自身の製造も極めて容易で
あるなど実用効果大である。

    【実用新案登録請求の範囲】
  1. １対のリード線間に発光ダイオードペレットを挟着し、
    上記リード線の１部と共に上記ペレットを両端開口せる
    透明筒体内に挿入し、該筒体内に透明樹脂を充填してな
    る発光ダイオード装置。
