Description

【発明の詳細な説明】 〔発明の技術分野〕 この発明は、たとえばダイヤモンド砥粒からなる主砥粒
に補助砥粒を結合した研削砥石に関する。
〔発明の技術的背景とその問題点〕
ダイヤモンド砥粒やＣＢＮ砥粒をレジンなどの結合材に
よって結合した研削砥石が仰られているが、これら砥粒
を保持している結合材の耐摩れ注、耐熱性が悪いために
充分な研削性能が得゛られない。すなわち、研削作業時
における摩擦熱によって結合材が発熱し、結合材の劣化
を引き起し、砥粒が脱落したり破壊されるため、高切込
み（３０μｍ以上）″に耐えられず、研削能率が悪いと
いう欠点がある。また、ダイヤモンド砥粒やＣＢＮ砥粒
のみが研削番こ作用しているため砥石の減耗か早いとと
もに表面あらさが悪く、仕上げ研削耗度が低いという欠
点もある。
〔発明の目的〕
この発明は上記事情に着目してなされたもので、その目
的とするところは、研削能率の向上と仕上は研肖り精度
を向上することができる研削砥石を提供しようとするも
のである。
〔発明の実施例〕
以下、この発明を図面に示す一実施例にもとづいて説明
する。図中１・・・はダイヤモンド砥粒あるいはＣＢＮ
砥粒からなる主砥粒で、２・・・は上記主砥粒１と同等
かもしくはそれ以下の粒径をもったホットプレス窒化ケ
イ素ｌこ１０〜２０βｍの厚すでＣｕまたはＮｉコーテ
ィングした補助砥粒である。この補助砥粒２・・・はレ
ジンボンドからなる結合材ｓ中に５〜１０％混合して上
記を砥粒１・・・とともに焼結することにより研削砥石
４か構成されている。
このホットプレス窒化ケイ素は、耐熱、高温１ｌｌＳ′
４粍性に優れているとともに表１に示すような代表的性
質を有しており、結合材３に適正な減耗を起させる一方
主砥粒１・・・の脱落および破壊を防止している。さら
に、主砥粒１と補助砥粒２との間に粒径差によって間隙
部５を形成し、研削時に生じる切屑の排出を助長してい
る。
表　　ｌ なお、上記一実施例においては、結合材３中にホットプ
レス窒化ケイ素を５〜１０％混入するようにしたが、要
求される１削能率と精度により、その含有容量および粒
径を任意に変更可能であり、また結合材３中にレジンボ
ンドを用いたが、他の熱硬化性樹脂材料を用いてもよい
。
さらに、ホットプレス窒化ケイ素へのコーティング有、
無およびコーティング材料、コーテイング量においても
被研削材料によって適宜変更可能である。
〔発明の効果〕
この発明は以上説明したように主砥粒とホットプレス窒
化ケイ素からなる補助砥粒とを結合材によって一体に焼
結したから、高切込み研削（３０μｍ　％　５０μｍ）
が可能になるとともに砥石減耗が少なくなり、研ｌ！Ｉ
ｌ精度の向上と仕上げ研削精度の向上を図ることができ
、従来の研削砥石と比較すると表２のとおりである。

    【特許請求の範囲】
  1. 研Ｆｉｌｌに作用する主砥粒とこの主砥粒径と同等かも
    しくはこれ以下の粒径を持ったホットプレス賭化ケイ素
    （ｓｔｓＮｔ）からなる補助砥粒とを結合材によって一
    体に焼結したことを特徴とする研削砥石。
