    【実用新案登録請求の範囲】
  1. 進入検知と退出検知の両機能を有し切換えによりいずれ
    か一方の機能を実行する反射型センサを２組と、前記２
    組の反射型センサのいずれか一方の組を進入検知用、他
    方の組を退出検知用に切換えるスイッチとから成る物体
    検知部と、走査部と認識部とを内蔵しかつ前記物体検知
    部をオペレータ側及び客側のいずれにも取付け、取外し
    ができる筐体とを含むことを特徴とする光学記号読取装
    置。
