  1. 試料ステージと、該試料ステージを移動させるための移
    動手段と、該移動手蒔による試料ステージの移動を試料
    ステージの現在位置を表わす位置検出手段よりの信号と
    操作者の指令信号に基づいて制御するための制御手段と
    を備えた装置において、該位置検出手段は試料ステージ
    に取り付けられた磁気検出器であることを特徴とする走
    査電子顕微鏡等における試料移動装置。
