    【実用新案登録請求の範囲】
  1. 直列に配設される複数のシリンダボアと、・エンジンの
    外周を形成する外壁部と、前記シリンダボア壁上部と前
    記外壁部上部とを連結するトップデツキ部とを有し、前
    記シリンダボア壁と外壁部とトップデツキ部とがウォー
    タジャケットを構成するエンジンのシリンダブロックの
    構造において、シリンダ列方向両端部に配置されるシリ
    ンダボア壁とシリンダ列方向両端の外壁部との間のトッ
    プ゛□　　　デツキ部の剛性は低く、シリンダの列方向
    中間部に位置するシリンダボアのシリンダヘッド取付ボ
    ルトの内側のトップデツキ部の剛性は高く、前記中間部
    のシリンダボアの幅方向両側のトップデツキ部の剛性は
    中程度になっていることを特徴とするエンジンのシリン
    ダブロックの構造。
