Abstract

PURPOSE:Keratolytics containing an anionic surfactant and another surfactant having N atoms in the molecule in combination, capable of cleaning the skin without damaging the skin, and removing the keratin with ease. CONSTITUTION:Keratolytics containing one or two or more anionic surfactants, e.g. sodium lauryl sulfate, and one or two or more other surfactants having nitrogen atoms in the molecule other than the anionic surfactants, e.g. lauryldemethylamine oxide, at preferably (20:1)-(1:20), preferably (10:1)-(1:10), molar ratio. The keratolytics have improved dissolving action on the keratinized tissee and a slight irritation to the skin. Therefore, the agent is used directly or incorporated with various bases, e.g. a liquid, jelly, ointment or creamy base, for use.

In view of these circumstances, the present inventors have extensively searched for substances that have excellent effects as keratolytic agents in order to solve the above-mentioned drawbacks, and have surprisingly discovered that surfactants with a certain structure have been found. When used in combination, it is far more effective than the salicylic acid gel commonly used by dermatologists or the conventionally known keratolytic agents such as salicylic acid, urea, lactic acid, and enzymes, and is less irritating to the skin. The present inventors have discovered that the number of cases is extremely low, and have completed the present invention. That is, the present invention is comprised of one or more anionic surfactants and one or more surfactants other than anionic surfactants that have a nitrogen atom in the molecule. The composition of the present invention will be described in detail below.

The stratum corneum for evaluating keratolysis was collected from guinea pigs. The method involves removing hair from a guinea pig using clippers or a depilatory agent, and after the erythema has subsided, the entire skin layer is separated using scissors. After peeling, subcutaneous fat is excised with scissors, then immersed in warm water at 0°C for 1 minute, cooled on ice, and the epidermis is peeled cleanly with a bottle set. The epidermis was soaked at 37"C with 01% trypsin solution (buffer pH 7,8).
Treat for 30 minutes to digest living cells and obtain the stratum corneum. The stratum corneum was washed with water, dried, and used for testing. The stratum corneum was cut into squares, immersed in 15 cc of each solution, and kept in a 25"C thermostatic chamber over time to check the condition of the stratum corneum. Observation and evaluation of keratolytic properties.
