  1. 【実用新案登録請求の範囲】 クランクシャフトに設けたタイミングブーりとカムシャ
    フトに設けたタイミングプーリとの間にタイミングベル
    トを巻回し、該タイミングベルトを覆うタイミングベル
    トカバーを、その周縁部にシール部材を介在させて、ボ
    ルトによりエンジン本体へ取付けるようにしたエンジン
    のタイミングベルトカバー取付構造において、 前記タイミングベルトカバーの前記クランクシャフト側
    端が、該クランクシャフトの近傍まで延びており、 前記タイミングベルトカバーは、前記クランクシャフト
    側端よりも所定距離離れた位置においてボルト締結され
    、 前記シール部材のボルト締結方向における剛性が、前記
    所定距離離れたボルト締結位置よりも前記カムシャフト
    側部分に比して、クランクシャフト側部分の方が低くさ
    れている、 ことを特徴とするエンジンのタイミングベルトカバー取
    付構造。
