Description

【発明の詳細な説明】 本発明はプラスチック管の落着接合方法に関するもので
ある。
プラスチックのうち、オレフイン系のプラスチックにお
いては接着剤による接着が不可能であり、熔着によらざ
るを得ない。
このため、オレフイン系プラスチックであるポリブテン
、ポリエチレン等のプラスチック管とプラスチックスリ
ーブとを接合する場合、第1図Aに示すように、加熱治
具1′のコーン部11′にプラスチックスリーブS′の
片側を圧入して、そのスリーブ部の内面を加熱軟化させ
、一方、加熱治具の管状部12′内に、プラスチック管
P′の端部を圧入して、その管端部の外面を加熱軟化さ
せ、次いで、加熱治具1′からプラスチックスリーフS
′、プラスチック管P′をそれぞれ切り離したのち、第
1図Bに示すように、プラスチック管P′の端部をプラ
スチックスリーブ9の片側に差込んで、これらの間を溶
着し、冷却する。
しかしながら、上記の方法では、スリーブの内面が加熱
治具のコーン先端で擦られる結果、スリーブ内でのバリ
a′の発生が避けられず、プラスチック管が通水管であ
る場合、このバリa′が通水に支障を及ぼす懸念がある
本発明に係るプラスチック管の溶着接合方法は、上述の
不都合を解消できる方法であり、プラスチック管とプラ
スチックスリーブとを熔着接合する方法において、プラ
スチックスリーブの片側内面を、加熱治具の圧入により
加熱軟化させ、該治具を抜取ったのち、上記治具の圧入
時にスリーブ内面に形成されたバリをバリ修正治具の挿
入により圧濃縮小し、而るのち、上記スリーブ内面に、
該内面が加熱軟化状態にあるときに、外面が加熱軟化状
態のプラスチック管端部を蓋込むことを特徴とする方法
である。
以下、図面により本発明を説明する。
第2図Aにおいて、Pはポリブテン管、Sはポリブテン
製スリーブであり、管挿入孔はテーパ孔とされ、内面中
央にはストッパーTが設けられている。
1は加熱治具であり、コ−ン部11と管状−部T2とを
備えている。
本発明を実施するには、まず、第2図Bに示すように、
加熱治具1のコーン部11上には、スリーブSの片側を
、同加熱治具1の管状部12内には管端部Poをそれぞ
れ圧入する。
この圧入により、スリーブSの片側内面並びに管端部P
oの外面がそれぞれ加熱軟化される。この場合、スリー
フSの内面奥ストッパーTには、コーン11の先端で加
熱軟化ポリブテンが絞り寄せられてバリaが形成される
。上記加熱治具1からスリーブS並びにポリブテン管P
を切り離したのちは、第2図Cに示すように、スリーブ
SのストッパーTの内径にほぼ等しい外蓬のバリ修正治
具2をスリーブSの反対側から挿入し、上記バリaをス
トッパー内径に等しい寸法にまで圧潰縮小する。
このバリ修正治具2によるバリの圧濃縮小はごく短時間
で行われ、上記スリーブ内面、並びにポリブテン管端部
外面の加熱軟化状態は、充分に保持されている。
次いで、第2図Dに示すように、バリ修正拾臭2をスリ
ーブSに差込んだま)で、スリーブSの片側にポリブテ
ン管Pの端部Poを差込み、これらの間を落着する。
而るのち、バリ修正治具を第2図Eに示すように取外す
。この場合、必要に応じ、バリ修正治具2を加熱するこ
ともできる。上記のように、スリーブの片側にポリブテ
ン管を落着したのちは、スリーブSの反対側sに次のポ
リブテン管を溶着する。この溶着を行うには、{1}ス
リーブの片側内面、並びに次のポリブテン管の端部外面
を加熱治具により加熱軟化させ、■加熱治具からスリー
ブ、ポリブテン管を切り離したのち、バリ修正治具を挿
入してバリを圧債縮小し、‘3ー次いで、バリ修正拾具
を抜き取ったのち、スIJーブの反対側内面に次のポリ
ブテン管の端部を同じようにして落着する。
バリ修正治具の長さは長くても、短くてもよい。本発明
に係るプラスチック管の溶着接合方法は、上述した通り
、プラスチックスリーブの内面を加熱治具のコーン部の
圧入により加熱軟化させるときに形成されるバリをバリ
修正治具により圧濃縮小して、スリーブの端部内にプラ
スチック管の端部を溶着しているから、上記バリかプラ
スチック管の通水に支障となるような不具合を排除して
、プラスチック管を溶着接合できる。
プラスチックスリーブはソケットだけでな〈チ.ーズ、
金属インサート継手も含む。

    【特許請求の範囲】
  1. 1 プラスチツク管とプラスチツクスリーブとを溶着接
    合する方法において、プラスチツクスリーブの片側内面
    を、加熱治具の圧入により加熱軟化させ、該治具を抜取
    つたのち、上記治具の圧入時にスリーブ内面に形成され
    たバリをバリ修正治具の挿入により圧潰縮小し、而るの
    ち、上記スリーブ内面に、該内面が加熱軟化状態にある
    ときに、外面が加熱軟化状態のプラスチツク管端部を差
    込むことを特徴とするプラスチツク管の溶着接合方法。
