Description

【発明の詳細な説明】 〔発明の禾１用分野〕 本発明は、感熱記録ヘッド用の電源電圧値の変動による
記録濃度の変動を補正する方式に関する。
〔発明の背景〕
記録濃度を一定とする為には、＋１１記録用に電圧変動
の小さい専用電源を設ける、（２）特願昭５７−１８２
８０９号明細書に示すように、電源電圧に応じて記録パ
ルス信号のパルス＠を制御する、等があるが、（ａ）専
用電源は高価となり、装置のコストが高くなる、（ｂ）
単にパルス幅制御のみでは記録ヘッドのピーク温度が高
くなることがあり、ヘッド寿命が低下すると百う点につ
いては配慮がされていなかった。
〔発明の目的〕
本発明の目的は、記録ヘッドの記録パルス信号を分割し
、記録用の電源電圧に応して分割した記録パルス信号の
パルス幅會制御することによ少記録用の電源電圧値の変
動による記録濃度の変動を低減することを提供すること
にある。
〔発明のわ袈〕
本発明は上述した目的を達成するために、記録パルス信
号を分割し、この分割された信号のパルス幅を、記録電
源電圧値に応じて制御するようにしたものである。
〔発明の実施例〕
以下、本発明の一実施例を、第１図及び第２図によシ説
明する。第１図のパルス作成部１は、記録信号６が入力
されている間、タイミング信合線９のトリガーに同期し
てパルス幅制御線８に印加される電圧で規定された幅の
パルスを記録パルス信号線１０へ出力する。ドライバー
７は受けた記録パルスと記録データ４の論理和で多数の
発熱抵抗体２で構成された記録ヘッド５を駆動する。こ
こで記録信号６は従来の記録パルス信号に相当するタイ
ミングである。図中５はタイミング信号である。
第２図（ａｌは、電源線１１に印加される記録電源電圧
値が高い場合の第１図の回路タイミングおよび記録ヘッ
ドの発熱抵抗体温度を示す。
第２図（ｂｌは、同様に記録電源電圧値が低い場合であ
る。
なお、第２図（ａｌ　、　（ｈ＋の７′Ｒは記録ヘッド
発熱抵抗体温度を示し、一点鎖線は本発明のような分割
パルスではなく、単にパルス幅のみを制御した場合を、
実線は本発明の分割したパルスの幅を制御した場合を示
す。一点鎖線および実線いずれの場合も記録ヘッドの発
熱抵抗体２への印加エネルギーおよび記録濃度も一定で
ある。しかし、発熱抵抗体２の寿命に大きく影響する温
度ＴＲのピーク値は、一点鎖線よりも実線の方が低く本
発明によれば寿命の低下を小さくすることができる。
〔発明の効果〕
本発明によれば、電圧変動の小さい記録専用電源を必要
とせず、また、記録ヘッドの寿命を低下させることなく
、記録用電源電圧値の変動による記録の濃度変動を補正
する効果がある。

はヘッド駆動部の具体的な回路図、第２図は第１図の回
路タイミングチャート図である。

    【特許請求の範囲】
  1. 感熱記録ヘッド用の電源電圧値のバラツキや変動による
    記録濃度の変動を補正するために、記録用パルス信号を
    分割し、感熱記録ヘッド用の電源電圧値により、分割し
    た記録パルス信号のパルス幅を制御することを特徴とす
    る記録ヘッドの分割パルス駆動方式。
