【発明の詳細な説明】 本発明はモールデイングの成形方法、特に成形
金属板材の表面に着色面を形成するようにしたモ
ールデイングの成形方法に関するものである。

従来、金属板材より成る車輛のピラーカバー等
のモールデイングの表面に着色面を形成する方法
として第1図に示すように金属板材1を所定形状
の成形後に第2図に示すようにこの成形された金
属板材1の表面に例えばPVCテープなどから成
るカラーテープ2を貼着して第3図に示むような
モールデイングを成形する方法が提案されてい
る。しかしながらこのような方法によれば複雑な
形状となつた金属板材1の表面にカラーテープを
貼着することから、カラーテープ2と金属板材1
との間に気泡が発生したり或いはテープ2の貼着
位置がずれてしまい外観の見苦しいものとなる。
またカラーテープ2を貼着する前において成形金
属板材の表面側に油分が残留している場合貼着さ
れたカラーテープに剥れ或いは膨れなどが生じる
欠点を有している。また従来金属板材を成形後に
その表面に塗料を塗付する方法も提案されている
がこれによれば成形金属板材の塗装面にゴミが付
着することがありこれにより塗装面が平滑面とな
らない欠点を有している。なお塗装前に重クロム
酸などによつて金属板材を処理する方法もあるが
コストが高くなつてしまう。また、洗車などによ
つて塗装面の一部が剥離するなどの欠点を有す
る。

着色テープに対して容易に剥離し得る透明で着色
テープの表面が目視可能な合成樹脂製フイルムを
被着して成る部材をプレス加工によつて金属板材
側が内側となり合成樹脂製フイルム側が外側とな
る溝部を有する形状に成型した後に、上記合成樹
脂製フイルムのみを剥離して着色テープを露出さ
せるようにして上記欠点を除去するものであり以
下実施例を用いて詳細に説明する。

たPVCテープなどから成るカラーテープ12を
貼着しさらにこのカラーテープ12の表面にポリ
エチレン樹脂フイルムなどから成る透明な保護テ
ープ13を貼着する。この場合カラーテープ12
は金属板材11から容易に剥離しないような接着
剤によつて貼着され、また保護テープ13はカラ
ーテープ12から容易に剥離し得る接着剤によつ
て貼着される。カラーテープ12と保護テープ1
3との貼着方法は例えば第5図に示すようにロー
ル巻された各平板状の金属板材11、カラーテー
プ12、保護テープ13を同時に重ねながらガイ
ドするようにして互いに接着するようにしても、
或いは第6図に示すように予め所要の長さの金属
板材11の表面に、ロール巻された各カラーテー
プ12、保護テープ13を同時に引き出すように
してこれらを金属板材11の上に重ねるようにし
ても、また第7図に示すように予め互いに貼着さ
れたカラーテープ12と保護テープ13をロール
巻しておきこのカラーテープ12と保護テープ1
3との積層テープ14を金属板材11の表面側に
貼着するようにしてもよい。次にこのように三者
が一体となつた平坦な部材をプレス加工によつて
第8図ないし第11図に示すように例えば車輛の
ピラーカバー等のモールデイングとして適用可能

形状に成形しこの成形後に第10図、第11図に
示すように表面側の保護テープ13を剥離するこ
とによつてモールデイングとして完成する。

省略することが可能となり量産化を図ることがで
きる。またプレス工程において、金属板材11と
着色テープ12との間に油分が介入することがな
く、更にプレスのパンチとダイとの間でそれらが
必然的に圧縮されるので着色テープ12の接着強
度を高めることができ、長寿命化を図ることがで
きる。またプレス工程において保護テープ13が
プレス加工中クツシヨンとして作用するとともに
疵が発生してもこの疵は保護テープにのみ発生し
かつ保護テープは後工程において剥離するので疵
がカラーテープに発生することはなくカラーテー
プの外観を優れたものとすることができる。また
保護テープを透明としておくことにより、万一プ
レス工程に異常が生じてカラーテープ12に疵が
発生しても、保護テープ13を剥離することなく
観察できるので、プレス加工後即座にその異常を
判断でき早急に対処することができる。

合成樹脂製フイルムを被着して成る部材をプレス
加工によつて金属板材側が内側となり合成樹脂製
フイルム側が外側となる溝部を有する形状に成型
した後に、上記合成樹脂製フイルムのみを剥離し
て着色テープを露出させるようにしたので、従来
のように所定形状に成形加工された金属板材に対
してこの板材と同一形状に成形された着色テープ
を被着するという煩雑な工程を省略することが可
能となり外観を優れたものとできるとともに量産
性を向上することができる。

したことを特徴とするモールデイングの成形方
