The original image is then made into a master paper.
Such a recording stylus wears out during plate making, or abnormal situations such as bending or skipping occur, and carbon etc. adhere to the tip of the recording stylus, making it difficult to perform normally and accurately. It often occurs that plate making is inhibited.

When rotating to the plate-making preparation state, make sure that the insulating section does not come into contact with the recording needle and conductivity occurs. If the needle breaks or bends, the insulating section does not come into contact with the recording needle and the needle A device has been proposed that directly contacts the lead contact and becomes conductive, indicating an abnormality, but according to this method, the insulation part is constantly in contact with the recording needle during plate making, and bending force is applied to the needle, resulting in needle skipping, etc. There is a risk that the needle may be bent or broken even though the length of the needle is sufficient.

る。 The inventors of the present invention previously proposed Utility Model Application No. 186267/1983 in order to improve the above-mentioned conventional disadvantages. Its structure is such that the recording needle hangs down almost vertically in the preparation state for plate making.
A conductive detection piece is attached to a base, which contacts the needle of the recording stylus under the above conditions and is connected to a detection circuit. Specifically, it is a means for detecting needle abnormality by contact between the side of the needle and the tip of the detection piece. Therefore, the above-mentioned conventional disadvantages can be solved. However, in order to achieve even more accurate plate making, it is necessary to remove carbon and the like adhering to the tip of the recording stylus during plate making.

The base piece 2 consists of a thin needle body 3 of a predetermined length that protrudes in the length direction at the tip of the base piece 2, and the base piece 2 is inserted into the clamping part 5 of the holder 4 and is removably clamped with a screw 6. The recording stylus main body 1 is connected at its center to a shaft 7 and is suspended substantially vertically. The shaft 7 rotates clockwise in the figure when setting the plate to the plate-making state (not shown), and the tip 3a of the needle body 3 comes into elastic contact with the plate-making drum 8 shown by the chain line, and the base paper wound around the drum 8 and set thereon is rotated clockwise. Plate making is performed using electrical discharge, etc.

After completing the plate making, the recording needle main body 1 is separated from the drum 8, rotates counterclockwise in the figure around the shaft 7, and the needle body 3
An intermediate portion near the tip of the detection piece 9 contacts the front end of the tip portion 9a of the detection piece 9. This state is shown by a solid line in the figure. From this state, the recording stylus main body 1 further rotates counterclockwise, so that the sensing piece 9 made of springy stainless steel or the like is pushed down in the figure with the base 9c as a fulcrum by the rotational force of the recording stylus main body 1. With the recording stylus main body 1 hanging down as shown by the dotted line, the tip 3a of the stylus 3 elastically abuts the upper surface of the tip 9a of the detection piece.

When the power to the recording needle detection circuit is turned on while the top surface of the tip 9a of It is possible to detect that the needle body 3 of the needle body 1 is normal. Subsequently, as described above, in the setting operation to the plate-making state, the recording stylus main body 1 comes into elastic contact with the original paper around eight rotations of the drum to perform plate-making. In this state, the needle body 3 and the detection piece 9 are separated, so the detection circuit is opened, and therefore the lamp 15 does not light up.

There is no continuity and the lamp 15 does not light up. Therefore, it is possible to detect that there is an abnormality in the recording stylus main body 1, and even if the stylus body 3 is bent or broken, the abnormality can be detected immediately.
