DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION The present invention relates to a crimped yarn used for knitting the legs of women's stockings or men's and women's high socks, and a method of knitting the same. Conventionally, there are two types of knitted stockings for women: (a) woolly type (one size fits all) and (b) sheer type (sizes available).

In other words, (a) woolly type uses crimped yarn obtained by false twisting multifilament consisting of three or more single yarns as the yarn used in the leg part, and has a low elasticity value. Because it is large, S,
These are extremely common stockings that do not have size classifications of M and L. However, this woolly type stocking lacks transparency, making it unsuitable as a luxury item. (b) Sheer type stockings were created to improve this drawback, and as the name suggests, they are women's stockings that are highly transparent. The yarn used for the leg part of this sheer type stocking has a single yarn composition of 3 or less and a total denier.
A multi-filament consisting of 4 or more yarns with a denier of 20 denier or less or a total denier of 15 denier or less is used.

However, when a multifilament with three or less single filaments is false-twisted using a false-twisting device such as a spindle, slipping causes uneven crimp, hairs, and single filaments as shown in Figure 1. Number of threads is 4
It has not been possible to obtain a crimped yarn with a uniform crimped form like a multifilament made of more than one filament. Therefore, stockings knitted with yarns with a single yarn composition of 3 or less and a total denier of 20 denier or less do not have a clean knitting surface like the woolly type, and are extremely unstable dimensionally. Ta. In order to overcome this problem, there is a method of creating a transparent feel by applying strong twisting, but this method has the disadvantage that the yarn becomes expensive.

Furthermore, when a multifilament with a total denier of 15 deniers or less is false-twisted, the yarn itself has low strength, making it difficult to process and resulting in a high-cost yarn.

The inventor of the present invention has conducted extensive studies to improve the drawbacks of this shear type, and as a result has found the method described below. In other words, in order to make sheer type stockings with a beautiful (even) knitting surface as described above, a multifilament consisting of four or more single yarns that are uniformly crimped is divided into two to four fibers.
It has been found that it is preferable to use a crimped yarn consisting of 2 to 4 single yarns having a relatively thin denier and having a uniform crimped form as shown in FIG. 2 when drawn together. If such yarn is fed to the yarn feeder and knitted, it is possible to obtain the transparency that is characteristic of sheer type stockings, and to obtain stockings with a uniform knitted surface and rich in fit and stretch back. I can do it.

As an example, the inventor has found that the single yarn denier is 8.
A multi-filament consisting of 16 denier single yarns is false-twisted using a spindle, the resulting crimped yarn is split using a splitting machine, and two yarns are pulled together to obtain a yarn as shown in Figure 2. This problem was solved by knitting the thread. The reason why we chose a single thread denier of 8 denier is to keep the total denier as low as possible, and if the single thread denier is thick (more than 10 denier), there is a drawback that the skin will tingle when worn as stockings. The stockings in this example were of a high quality, far superior to conventional sheer type stockings in terms of transparency and fit when worn with stretch backs.
