二点鎖線で示す如く、電極本体70両側及び上側を囲繞
する形であってもよい、最後の場合は、電極本体7から
の放熱が極力押えることができ、熱効率(溶接効率)が
向上し1サイクルごとの溶接時間の短縮につながる。
高さが電極本体7と同一であるが、下面が面一となって
おれば低くしてもよく、逆に高くてもよく、さらには、
二点鎖線で示す如く、電極本体70両側及び上側を囲繞
する形であってもよい、最後の場合は、電極本体7から
の放熱が極力押えることができ、熱効率(溶接効率)が
向上し1サイクルごとの溶接時間の短縮につながる。
上記構成の棒状押圧電極で、板状受は電極3上で突き合
せて載置されたPVC板対1.1の突き合せ部5を押圧
した状態で、高周波を印加すれば誘電加熱により、突き
合せ部5は溶接される。このとき、突き合せ部5の接合
強度が増大し、PVC板1玉に抑圧跡は発生するが、ビ
ードが発生することはない。

その理由は、明確ではないが、下記の如くであると推定
される。

棒状押圧電極(抑圧部材)が、幅狭の電極本体の両側に
絶縁断熱体が下面が面一となるように装備され幅広とな
っているため、押圧力が増大してPVC板対の突き合せ
状態を、溶接作業中維持でき、しかも、絶縁断熱体の存
在により熱逸散も小さく、溶接効率が増大するとともに
、同様の理由で、加熱溶融材料が棒状押圧電極の両側に
流出することがない。
絶縁断熱体が下面が面一となるように装備され幅広とな
っているため、押圧力が増大してPVC板対の突き合せ
状態を、溶接作業中維持でき、しかも、絶縁断熱体の存
在により熱逸散も小さく、溶接効率が増大するとともに
、同様の理由で、加熱溶融材料が棒状押圧電極の両側に
流出することがない。
〈発明の作用・効果〉
本発明の熱可塑性樹脂板の高周波溶接方法は、棒状押圧
電極として、電極本体の両側に下面が面一となるように
絶縁断熱体が装備された幅広にしたものを使用すること
により、下記のような作用効果を奏する。

(a)棒状押圧電極(押圧部材)の押圧力が増大して、
熱可塑性樹脂板対の突き合せ状態を、溶接作業中維持で
き、しかも、熱逸散も小さく、溶接効率が増大し、接合
強度が増大する。従来の棒状押圧電極が電極本体のみで
構成された幅狭のものを用いた場合は、上記のように大
きな押圧力は得られないため突き合せ状態を長時間維持
できず(突き合せ面が隠離する)、かつ、熱逸散も大き
いため、上記のような作用は奏しない。
熱可塑性樹脂板対の突き合せ状態を、溶接作業中維持で
き、しかも、熱逸散も小さく、溶接効率が増大し、接合
強度が増大する。従来の棒状押圧電極が電極本体のみで
構成された幅狭のものを用いた場合は、上記のように大
きな押圧力は得られないため突き合せ状態を長時間維持
できず(突き合せ面が隠離する)、かつ、熱逸散も大き
いため、上記のような作用は奏しない。
ちなみに、下記溶接条件で、PvC板対2mmtを突き
合せ接合させた場合の接合強度(JISK6301、引
張り速度200 ts/ win )は、第1図に示す
本発明方法では、10.3kgFであったのに対し、第
3図に示す従来方法では1.0kgfであった。

- 【特許請求の範囲】 板状受け電極上で突き合せて載置された熱可塑性樹脂板
対の突き合せ部を、棒状押圧電極で押圧した状態で高周
波を印加して誘電加熱により前記熱可塑性樹脂板対を突
き合せ接合させるに際して前記棒状押圧電極として、電
極本体の長手方向両側に下面が面一となるように絶縁断
熱体が装備されたものを使用すること、 を特徴とする熱可塑性樹脂板の高周波溶接方法
