[Industrial Application Field] The present invention relates to a ring manufacturing method for manufacturing a ring from a metal material ingot by forging. [Prior art and its problems] When manufacturing rings that require specific mechanical properties, such as rings used for aircraft engine seals, it is common to use ingots of metal materials as raw materials. Ring manufacturing methods include fabricating and processing rings with desired mechanical properties and shapes. FIG. 3 is for explaining a conventional method of manufacturing this type of ring. As shown in Fig. 3, in this manufacturing method, first, an ingot 1 made of a desired metal material is bloomed at an optimum temperature to produce a cylindrical material 2 in which the flow line of the ingot is formed linearly in the axial direction. do. Next, the cylindrical material 2 is cut into predetermined lengths along the axial direction to produce small cylindrical materials 3. And then,
The small cylindrical material 3 is compressed in its axial direction by upsetting, thereby producing a disc-shaped material 4 whose outer periphery is swollen in a cylindrical shape. Next, a hole 5 having a predetermined inner diameter is bored in the center of the disc-shaped material 4 by punching or the like to produce a ring-shaped material 6. Then, a fixed mandrel 7 etc. is inserted into the hole 5 of the ring-shaped material 6 produced in this way to perform ring forging, and the ring-shaped material 6 is expanded in the radial direction to form a desired ring 8. Alternatively, after the ring is forged, it is further rolled out using a ring rolling mill to produce the desired ring 8. In the conventional ring manufacturing method described above, blooming is performed under high temperature when producing the cylindrical material 2 from the ingot 1, and further when producing the disc-shaped material 4 from the small cylindrical material 3. Since upsetting is performed at the same time, it is possible to manufacture a ring having a uniform structure processed at a required plating ratio. However, in the conventional ring manufacturing method described above, the disc-shaped material 4 is produced by upsetting the small disc-shaped material 3.
The shape becomes a cylindrical shape that bulges outward at the center in the axial direction. For this reason, as shown in FIG. 4, the flow lines 9 of the cylindrical material 4 also take on a curved shape in which the central portion bulges outward along the axial direction.
Therefore, the flow line 9... is the disc-shaped material 4.
When the ring-shaped material 6 is produced by drilling the hole 5 in the hole 5, both ends of the ring-shaped material 6 are cut off, leaving only the tip of the curved line. As a result, when the ring-shaped raw material 6 is further manufactured by ring molding or then stretched in a ring rolling mill to produce the ring 8, the flow lines 9... are formed in a layered manner sequentially along the axial direction of the ring 8. They end up looking like they are piled up. Therefore, in the conventional ring manufacturing method described above, the mechanical properties, especially the ductility, in the axial direction perpendicular to the flow line 9 of the manufactured ring 8 are inferior to those in the circumferential direction.
In particular, there is a problem in that it is not suitable for manufacturing rings that require mechanical properties in the axial direction, such as rings used in the seals of the above-mentioned aircraft engines, and an improvement has been desired. [Object of the invention] This invention was made in view of the above circumstances,
It is an object of the present invention to provide a method for manufacturing a ring that can easily manufacture a ring with excellent mechanical properties in the axial direction. [Structure of the Invention] The method for manufacturing a ring of the present invention includes forming a hole in a disc-shaped material to produce a ring-shaped material, and then expanding the ring-shaped material in the radial direction to produce the ring. When doing so, the ingot is expanded and molded to produce a cylindrical material in which a flow line is formed in the axial direction, and then the cylindrical material is cut along a plane that intersects with the axial direction to form the disc. This method is characterized by producing a shaped material. [Example] FIGS. 1 and 2 are for explaining an example of the method for manufacturing a ring of the present invention. In the manufacturing method of this example in FIG.
First, the ingot 10 is upturned at a predetermined plating ratio under an optimal high temperature, and once it is made into a lumpy material 1.
Make 1. Next, the bulk material 11 is rolled out in the same direction as the upsetting direction to form a large-diameter cylindrical material 12 with flow lines formed in a straight line along the axial direction.
Create. (If the material requires a high kneading ratio, the above operation is repeated several times.) Then, the cylindrical material 12 is cut in a plane perpendicular to its axial direction to obtain a disc having a predetermined thickness. A shaped material 13 is produced. Next, in the disk-shaped material 13 produced in this way, a hole 14 is drilled in the same manner as in the conventional method to obtain a ring-shaped material 15, and then the ring is formed by forming a ring or being stretched using a ring rolling mill. 16 is manufactured. However, according to such a manufacturing method, as shown in FIG. 2, the flow line 17... directly intersects perpendicularly to the axial direction of the large diameter cylindrical material 12 formed linearly along the axial direction. Since the disc-shaped material 13 is produced by cutting along a plane, the disc-shaped material 13
The flow line 17 may be linear along the axial direction. Therefore, the disk-shaped material 13
The ring 16 has excellent mechanical properties in the axial direction because the flow line 17 of the ring 16 is formed in a straight line along the axial direction by drilling the hole 14 in the same manner as in the prior art and then performing ring forging. can be manufactured. Furthermore, when producing the large-diameter cylindrical material 12, the ingot 10 is once upturned as it is at an optimum temperature, and then rolled out in the same direction as the upsetting direction. The kneading ratio can be easily obtained, and a ring with a uniform structure can be reliably obtained. [Experiment example] Chemical composition is Ni−20Cr−13Co−4Mo−3Ti−
An ingot made of 1.4Al with a diameter of 500 mm and a length of 1200 mm was subjected to upsetting and rolling with an upsetting ratio of 1/3 and an elongation ratio of 4.2 at a high temperature of 1150°C, resulting in a diameter of 300 mm.
A cylindrical material with a length of 3300 mm was fabricated. Next, the cylindrical material was cut perpendicularly to the axial direction to produce a disc-shaped material, which was then perforated and then subjected to ring forging and stretching using a ring rolling mill to produce a ring. Comparing the mechanical properties of this ring and a ring of the same shape and material manufactured by a conventional method, it was found that the ring manufactured by the manufacturing method of the present invention had a higher tensile strength in the axial direction than the ring manufactured by the conventional method. As for the properties, as shown in Table 1, it was confirmed that the material had elongation and the aperture value was almost twice as good. In addition,
There was also almost no difference in the tangential properties from conventional materials.

As explained above, in the ring manufacturing method of the present invention, a ring-shaped material is produced by drilling holes in a disc-shaped material, and then the ring-shaped material is expanded in the radial direction to produce the ring. In this process, the ingot is upset and then rolled out to produce a cylindrical material with flow lines formed in the axial direction, and then the cylindrical material is cut along a plane that intersects with the axial direction. By doing so, the above-mentioned disk-shaped material is produced. Therefore, according to the ring manufacturing method of the present invention, the flow line is formed linearly along the axial direction, and therefore a ring having excellent mechanical properties in the axial direction can be easily and reliably manufactured.
