の被加工物の皮剥き機として一対のローラーを使
用する機械も一部において提案されているが、こ
の種、皮剥き機は通常、表面に刷毛を被着した一
対のローラーからなつており、皮剥き作業の進行
と共に、ブラシ内に土泥が侵入堆積し、皮剥き効
果を低下させるため予め水洗工程を必要として土
泥を落さなければならないのみならず、剥いた皮
屑もブラシ内に溜つて皮剥き効果を著しく損じる
結果となつていた。 なお、かかる従来の皮剥き機の欠点を克服すべ
く、本考案者は先に実公昭58−14877号公報にお
いて研摩による皮剥き作用を基本として研摩材を
付着した板状の弾性片部材を一対の鼓形ローラー
に適宜、間隔をおいて複数片取着し、弾性片部材
の弾性と研摩材の研摩作用とを利用して午蒡等の
皮を効率よく、かつ、確実に剥くようにした皮剥
き機を提案した。 しかしながら、上記提案にかかる皮剥き機は、
研摩材を付着した弾性片部材を鼓形ローラーの回
転によつて被加工物表面に押圧し、研摩するもの
であるため、従来の皮剥き機と比較して加工時間
が大巾に短縮され、被加工物全表面に亘つて均一
な皮剥き作業が行える反面、前記弾性片部材がロ
ーラーの半径方向に自由に摺動し、かつ、各弾性
片部材が互いに不連続であることからローラーを
高速で回転させた場合、該弾性片部材の先端に付
着した研摩材が被加工物の表面を反復して叩き付
ける現象、所謂、ラツピング現象を生じ、大根の
ように表皮が比較的弱い被加工物の場合は、製品
の表面に縞模様や凹凸を生じることがあり、この
点について更に改善すべき余地を残していた。
