- 【実用新案登録請求の範囲】 基板上に上部電極と下部電極とで発光層及び発
光層の両側に設けた絶縁層を狭持したＥＬエツジ
エミツタ素子を形成し、前記発光層の端面から基
板と平行に光をとり出すＥＬエツジエミツタにお
いて、 前記ＥＬエツジエミツタ素子を外囲器内に封入
すると共に、このＥＬエツジエミツタ素子より光
フアイバーをもちいて外囲器の外部に光をとりだ
すことを特徴とするＥＬエツジエミツタ。
