Abstract
PURPOSE:To suppress the leakage of a charge for transfer in case of the moisture absorption of paper and to prevent the fault in transfer by tightly bringing the paper into contact with a photosensitive drum by means of two paper guiding rollers which are oppositely disposed on the surface of the photosensitive drum through a fine gap and grounding the guiding roller through a resistance. CONSTITUTION:Two paper guiding rollers 8 and 9 constituted of the conductive member grounded through the resistances 32 and 33 are oppositely disposed on the photosensitive drum 1 through the fine gap and the paper is made to pass through the fine gap. The erect aperture edges of the shield electrodes 10 and 11 of a corona discharger 6 for transfer, to which insulating processes are executed, are extended between two paper guiding rollers 8 and 9. Namely, since the paper passes through the fine gap between the photosensitive drum 1 and the paper guiding rollers 8 and 9, the paper is tightly brought into contact with the photosensitive drum 1 even if the stiffness of the paper lowers in case of the moisture absorption. Moreover, the deterioration of transfer function can be prevented because the leakage of the charge for transfer is suppressed by the ground resistances even if electric resistances 32 and 33 are decreased.
