Abstract

PURPOSE: To provide an org. noble metal ink suitable for use in ornament, electronic industry, etc. and capable of giving an even coating surface free of pinholes, etc., by combining a noble metal salt of resinic acid with a rhodium alkylmercaptide and a solvent.
CONSTITUTION: At least one noble metal salt of resinic acid (A) (e.g., gold resinate, or platinum resinate) is mixed with a rhodium alkylmercaptide (B) (e.g., rhodium tert-dodecylmercaptide) and a solvent (C) (e.g., terpene alcohol) as indispensable components to prepare the desired org. noble metal ink. The use of the component B having a high rhodium content as a rhodium compd. to be added to the org. metal ink enables even a small amt. thereof to provide an ink viscosity satisfactory for carrying out screen printing to thereby prevent occurrence of crazing of the surface of fired pottery, etc.
